Attracting Nesting Birds



Welcome back. By now your yard is filled with bird feeders, songs, and feathered friends darting about. Are you able to watch these same birds prepare their nests and lift their young? Just as certain foods attract certain birds, there are a couple of things to understand about attracting nesting birds. Different birds have different nesting needs. There are ground-nesting birds, limb nesting birds, tight shrubbery, and hollow cavity-nesting birds. Each of those will desire a special sort of nesting area or birdhouse. If you have already got trees and shrubs in your yard, you're off to an honest start. Ground nesting birds usually build their nest within the cover of grasses or low shrubbery.
